Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What models to look at

So, we had a little bit of snow a couple of weeks ago and someone slid down a hill and crashed into the back of my Mazda 5 fairly destroying the bumper. It's 16 years old with 240kms on the clock so the insurance company has taken one look at the pictures and wants to write it off. I'm trying to get a quote for repair but if I do have to replace it I'm wondering what I should be looking at.

It needs to have easy access for a my wife's guide dog in the boot - he's in the car every day - so needs to be an estate or MPV - hatchbacks won't work.

Annual mileage is 20-25,000 kms with at least one round trip of 150kms on motorways per week.

I'd like something more frugal than the Mazda 5 but that shouldn't be too hard.

I have 2 very tall sons so there needs to be enough room in the back for long legs.

I'm in the UK so uk prices but budget is the £1400 the insurance company are offering me plus maybe £2000.

I'm aware of the C-Max but is there anything else that I should be looking at?

If it makes any difference I'm hoping to go electric in a couple of years - just have other financial priorities in the meantime.

A Ford S-Max maybe if you can get a nice one in your budget.

    A Toyota Corolla Verso.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
