Much better from Italy in the Welsh 22, good try. Another quick score now please

    Gwan Italy!

    That's daft from Bruno.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,197 ✭✭✭A-Train

Italy 11 could be in trouble here.

TMO comms is brutal here again. Joy Neville looking for the red card is a joke.

11 blue isn't running at the Welsh player tho.

I thinks joys comms are non existent. She doesn't seem to hear the ref

    Ref riding italy hard here

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,968 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

    This ref is a catastrophe.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,244 ✭✭✭tanko

Is this ref for real??? Talking about a red card. Where do they get these incompetent clowns.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,074 ✭✭✭Brief_Lives

Italy doing very well to ruin the game.

Yellow is the fair decision but the ref trying to get there by claiming it is chest first is ridiculous. Very much get the sense they don't actually know what the rules arm in that situation.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,968 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

She wasn't looking for a red card, she described what she saw with her own two eyes.

This nonsense of a "strike or a push away" was introduced by the AR. There is only a fend and its either only on the chest or on the neck.

To the letter of the law, that was a red card, the pitch officials invented some shyte to bring it down because clearly they decided he didn't mean it!!

Liam Williams with the soccer playacting. Such a dislikeable player.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,193 ✭✭✭crisco10

That didn't really look like a tackle as much as williams running into him.

Another 50 50 in the Wales column. Lol

    Game over

  • Registered Users Posts: 68,572 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

    Oh Italy!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,193 ✭✭✭crisco10

You can complain about the ref from an Italian POV, but they have been responsible for their own downfall in the real key moments

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,038 ✭✭✭fitz

Williams saw him coming and threw himself into it, imo.

Can't see a way back for Italy now. They're getting none of the calls from the ref, and the two yellow card periods are going to tell as they tire. I don't think they'll have enough left in the tank to get 3 converted tries and not give Wales points from penalties, the way the game has been reffed.

They've been too inaccurate and they're forcing it now.

Italy getting shafted by officials which is giving them no chance of reducing deficit but having said that they are their own worst enemy by going back to default mode of indiscipline of generally shooting themselves in both feet

Italy coughing up easy scores, lacking intensity and composure has infinitely more to with Wales's 19 point lead than anything the officials have done.

Thats twice ref hasn't halted play with medics in the midst of play, by far the biggest officiating failures this game.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,038 ✭✭✭fitz

Yup, the composure is the big thing. They've really not done themselves justice today.

Wales haven't really had to do anything.

You cannot tell me both sides are being refd the same

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,038 ✭✭✭fitz

For Italy in both cases. Was quick to stop it for the Wales player down for the Bruno yellow before he knew whether there was could play.

Should be a pen against Williams there same as against Italy in the first half

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,536 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Nah this ref is beyond belief

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,263 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Lineout that preceded the last Wales try was not near to being straight, about a meter and a half crooked…it was very dubious looking in real-time but the overhead camera angles confirmed it. Italy have been poor and ill disciplined but there is absolutely no excuse for some of the officiating we’ve seen… pathetic. Wales have been quite the beneficiaries. Again, as I type 😵‍💫

I'd agree, they're not, but Italy have shot themselves in the face multiple times.

    Jesus Italy are woeful.

No other team in the 6N would do what they just did with the ball in a strong attacking position. Terrible.
