It's the wire and I'll fight anyone who claims otherwise!

Breaking Bad for me - the TV series which raised the bar in terns of script writing, editing, cinematography, acting and production. It's a masterpiece.

From the list I picked The Wire.

An honourable mention for Star Trek.

I voted for the Sopranos but the shield for me was a close 2nd- Absolutely incredible show and very underrated

The Wire was excellent, as was Breaking Bad and Sopranos. Next level down imo was Game of Thrones and Better Call Saul.

I’ve never seen The Shield, The Walking Dead or Deadwood. I must give them a go.

Breaking Bad was amazing from start to finish.

But I've yet to watch The Wire and a lot of The Sopranos is hit and miss to me. I think I need to watch it end to end.

Game of Thrones has a kick ass title track and animation, some really excellent episodes, but tended to use shock tactics to pull people in rather than anything a bit more nuanced.

But, where is Battle of the Planets ? 😁

The Wire, The Sopranos and Mad Men are my top 3 in that order

I don't think shows like the Walking Dead, Homeland and Game of Thrones deserve to be on these kinds of list because of how severely the quality of them dropped off and/or how badly they ended.

Have watched all except Homeland and Deadwood. Was stuck between The Wire and The Sopranos but finally voted the Sopranos. Honorable mention to Breaking Bad. The Walking dead got tedious somewhere along the 6th, 7th 8th seasons. The Shield was excellent but I watched it 20 years ago so memory probably fades it a little. Some great choices in there.

couldnt agree more regarding GOT, it wasnt terrible or anything but i think half the reason it was so popular was the regular graphic nudity/violence rather than having a particularly well-written story
