RSJ price comparision

    Hi,

    In the middle extension just got billed 4.5k (ex VAT) for RSJ's which is 3 times projected cost at start of project (1.5K July 2022).

    Total 30m of steel (cut into 8 lengths) was used as follows is the build made up as follows.

    100mm x 200mm, length 3300mm Qty: 4

    100mm x 200mm, length 3820mm Qty: 2

    100mm x 200mm, length 3230mm Qty: 2

    Not looking for anything too exact, but does 4.5k seem way to excessive for what we put in to the build?

    Are these just heads for windows, sliding door etc. Is there any bolting n plates on the ends? Galvanized or just red primer?

    Gave 250+ vat for 20ft of 7x3 channel say 175×75 recently

    Thanks @enricoh. Just heads over sliders and windows. Just red primer on each length. No bolting/plates involved. Got a quote myself for all at 1250 (inc VAT) to show.
