Long story short I ordered a magazine for one of my firearms from the UK, have used this website before with no issues. I get a phone call today to say customs have seized my package and won’t release it unless I physically present my firearm license in person at dublin airport customs. has Anyone recently had such issues?

Never had that happen to me before.
I have had stuff seized but a simple copy of the front and back of my licence to the customs email was enough to get the items released, never had to present it in person.

Never forget, the end goal is zero firearms of any type.

S.I. No. 21/2008 - Firearms (Restricted Firearms and Ammunition) Order 2008 - Firearm types restricted
Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 - Firearms banned & grandfathered
S.I. No. 420/2019 - Magazine ban, ammo storage & transport restricted
Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023 - 2023 Firearm Ban (retroactive to 8 years prior)

Pretty common to see customs take an interest in this things. Sometimes getting laws wrong in regards to legality (to be fair, the laws are clarified in regulations).
I’d try a call and a emailed copy before a trip to the airport.
