Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Influx of "new accounts" to certain threads

I don't need to mention the thread in Current Affairs, but recently there's been larger than usual spike in "new accounts" with a similar agenda. Anything that can be done about this? Can any limits be set on the forum itself?

Or is it just a case of keep reporting them. Thanks.

Generally there's not much that can be done to prevent it up front.

Reporting them is the best approach. If you have a suspicion of who they are include that in your report, it can be helpful sometimes.

We do proactively keep an eye on this as well, we don't purely rely on reports. Sometimes it's really obvious, sometimes it takes a bit of time to determine.

I understand the frustration, but also worth pointing out that not all new accounts are necessarily re-regs, even if they're posting opinions that some might find suspicious.
