UK channels in the south.

Hi, hope somebody can advise me. I was receiving UK channels when in carrigallen have now moved to Ballinamore but can’t seem to locate the correct transmitter to watch the UK channels. I am getting the Ulster tv channels but my other half wants UK ITV. Which transmitter do i need to aim at.

Did have the professionals out to install new aerials etc but

they haven’t done what we asked and now won’t come back out so will have to do it myself.

As I understand it ITV1 is not available by aerial from Northern Ireland only UTV. https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Brougher_Mountain

In order to get ITV1 you would need a satellite dish.

Did the installer set you up with any channels from NI?

As above, UTV is the ITV region for NI, if you want any of the GB ITV regions a satellite dish with a Freesat or FTA satellite receiver will be required.

I think having access to UTV only isn't as much as an issue as it once was if you didn't like the local programming. Apart from the UTV news at 6pm, the only other local programming that I know of is 'View from Stormont' on Monday evenings at 10.45 and 'UTV Life' on Fridays at 7, plus 'Rare Breed', a farming/wildlife feature on Thursdays at 9.
