Pretty sure it used to be the X20 but that seems to no longer run.

    Any advice?

FWIW, I'll be coming back on a midweek afternoon

Thanks in advance for your help!

Aircoach and Citylink both go from B&Q or AIT

Bus Eireann don't do a direct service

Aircoach or citylink from B&Q or AIT.

A1/A2 will leave you up to those stops from the rail station

Only the A2 serves the stops at B & Q.

The A1 goes nowhere near them.

    Both serve AIT.

I think Aircoach is better personally FWIW but both are grand

Are there no longer any buses running to/from Athlone Train station?

Personally I've gotten the train to Heuston and the Airport bus right outside there direct to the airport.

There are plenty of buses serving the bus station, but none to Dublin or Dublin Airport. As already posted above.
