A Kingavon gas heater about one year old. Just changed a new cylinder this morning. Regulator tightly fitted. Working fine last night. Any advice?

I know this may sound obvious but are you getting a clicking sound on the spark button? Easy to use the wrong button.

When you change the gas bottle use a vacuum to clean the spark injector at the front when there is no bottle connected.

    Next

There is a double click mechanism on the regulator. There is a bottom ring on the triangle shaped regulator. Remove the regulator from the gas bottle by clicking/ lifting up the ring at the bottom of the regulator.

Replace the gas bottle. You lift up the clasp up the bottom ring from the regulator first and then put on the top of the gas cylinder. Push the regulator on top of the gas bottle and lift the ring and then push the clasp down and then again It should click twice first to seal the gas and click on.

Then wait a few minutes. There is a control value on top of the regulator. You need to flip over for ‘on’ and flip back when ‘off’. I think there is a 1or 0 on the value.

Then click the spark button on. See if you get a spark. Try a few times as it gives time for the gas into the system. Hold the spark button down for a few seconds. It should work then.

Thanks for the advice which I (by mistake) discovered,

Everything working as it should now.

I just rubbed a wooden toothpick all over the place where the pilot lights. A bit like giving the old B&W TV a business-like clatter in the side when it went fuzzy. 😁
