Experiences with Borrow My Doggy?

Has anyone used Borrow my Doggy and how has it gone? The good, the bad, the ugly?

It’s such a good idea in theory but sounds like something that could be too good to be true.

If a non runner, what are cost effective alternatives to doggy daycare? It averages €40 a day in Dublin which is pretty outrageous.

Is there an FB page for your area or eg a WhatsApp group for dog walkers? More than likely you’ll find a minder locally or somebody will recommend who they use 👍🏻

Some doggy day cares outside Dublin are less than half the price. I've heard as low as €10 in some places.

I'd only need it two days a week so wouldn't be the end of the world but if you worked five days you're looking at €800 a month! And I think a lot of them start charging every 15mins if you don't make it on time which is fair enough if owners are late but it adds up. And that's if you can get a space. A lot of them are already full.

Their rent will be more expensive in Dublin though, they also have other bills, insurance, wages to pay etc etc etc

Personally I wouldn't leave my dog in the care of someone charging 10 euro a day.

Would someone charging €80 be twice as trustworthy as someone charging €40?

Seems a rather odd way to ascertain trustworthiness to me.
