KTM extended warranty

Is this a new thing from KTM/ Husqvana. If reading correctly KTM are saying old & new ( two cylinders bikes) are covered for 80K / 8yrs if serviced via their dealers

Seems to be a new strategy by KTM for street bikes only. Just means your bike could be in the garage for 8 years! Wish they would just make them more reliable

I do quite like this plan.

Basically theyre saying if you use their authorise dealer to service the bike, they'll extend the warranty for a year. I'd pay the €150 to €200 a year to keep a bike in warranty

to them it makes sense, they know they'll catch the majority of issues out early this way, so a bike won't crap out due to people missing major service items.

It might not cover you for wrecking a bike off roading it. But anything like the TET or ACT would likely be ok as theyre publc roads.
