Is a Bilge keel yacht(of low draft) appropriate to Dublin Bay and any of marinas from Malahide to Greystones? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, plenty of bilge keelers out there in Dublin…

Greystones does not have any tidal restrictions/generally enough draught at any state of tide for full or bilge keel.

I draw 1.2m (wing keel) and can usually get in and out of Malahide down to 2 hours before low water, and again 2 hours after low water.

Bilge keels are fine for Dublin Bay but most do not point as well as fin keels so not great if you intend racing. Also, re the comment on Bray Harbour - I believe there are difficulties in getting insurance and also you will be limited to entry/exit a couple of hours either side of HW.
