Does a restricted breed of dog have to be muzzled in it's own walled back garden, the dog doesn't go out in public spaces

Moved to a forum that's actually related to the topic instead.

    No, only in public areas

"A person shall not permit a dog to which this article applies to be in a public place unless such dog is:—

    (i) securely muzzled; and

(ii) being led by a sufficiently strong chain or leash, not exceeding two metres in length, by a person over the age of sixteen years who is capable of controlling the said dog"

edit: I wish we could have a restricted owners list instead.

Why would anyone want a restricted breed of dog ?

Unless their a drug dealer trying to stop garda raids? or a scum bag trying to have the dog eat one of their neighbours children ?

It depends on the laws and regulations in your specific location. In some places, certain breeds may be required to wear a muzzle or be kept on a leash even on private property, while in others there may be no such requirements. It's best to check with your local animal control agency or law enforcement to find out what the regulations are in your area. Even if there are no legal requirements, it's still a good idea to ensure the safety of your dog and others by taking appropriate precautions, such as supervising your dog at all times and providing secure fencing.
