Fireplace renovation

    Hi,

I removed old two fireplace surrounds from my house (Kango) with the intention of installing an insert stove and closing up the other.

I have the stove installed, insulated with rock wool, and connected to a flexi flue. The plan is to tile around the fireplace instead of using a surround. So, I have some gaps in the fireplace opening around the stove. I want to get the gaps filled and ready for tiling. I don't want to take on the job myself and was hoping to get someone in to complete the following work:

    • Close up gaps around the stove
    • Tile
    • Close up fireplace opening on opposite side of wall (block work and plaster)

I've gone out to handyman boards / websites and not gotten a response. What would be the best option for finding someone to take on the job(s)?

I'd appreciate any advice, I've been staring at the wall too long.
