Hi Guys

I am looking for some TV recommendations

I currently have both Saorview and Freeview connections to TV but no set top box. Looking for a similar setup if possible

Can you provide some 46" to 50" devices that would be suitable

Thanks for the post.

Pretty much all the TV's that we sell will have a Soarview/Freeview aerial input as the one aerial will pick up both those frequencies depending on your location.

Saorivew is an ROI broadcast and Freeview is a UK Broadcast. So depending on your location will depend on which service you receive. In some locations it may be possible to get both and the TV will not effect this.

There are no 46" TV's unfortunately it would go from 43" to 48" and 50" (It's really only OLED screens that come in the 48" Size).

Have a check over the below televisions.

Starting point for a 50" would be the Philips 50PUS7506 priced at 449 Euro

Next up the Samsung 50AU7100 priced at 465 Euro (1 Year warranty Only)

Philips have another 50" the 50PUS7906 coming in at 499 Euro and the starting point of their Ambi Light range.

If you wanted to go up in price again there is another Philips the 50PUS88507 which adds in an Android operating system coming in at 649 Euro

It just really what you want to spend on the TV as there are better quality televisions at higher prices.

Starting point for the 48" OLED would be the LG 48A26 priced at 799 Euro

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm no expert by any means and not sure if it makes a difference but I have separate Saorview and Satellite connections going into the TV (LNB Satellite IN & Antenna/Cable In) so assuming I need similar. I have a Satellite dish as well as a Saorview aerial. Currently not able to pick up Saorview channels on Satellite

Hi Rushian.

Ahhhhh....

It's not Freeview you are looking for :)

If it's a satellite connection then that would be FreeSat. Again Freesat is a UK only Broadcast and can only be received in the UK. You can not get Freesat in the ROI.

Using a satellite connect in the ROI will just get you free to air satellite stations which is very similar to FreeSat but the EPG may not be complete and the channels in the wrong order. Just the same as you will currently be getting with your current TV.

The Philips 7906 and 8507 along with the LG 48A2 will all have Satellite and Saorview Aerial inputs.

I currently have an LG but not tied to it. Would you recommend the Phillips brand. Its been a long time since I have anything Phillips

Hey Rushian.

The 8 series Philips are very good, the Ambi light is a great feature and the Android operating system makes everything easy to use.

But if you could stretch to the LG OLED it would be next level!
