Musician Looking for Band

    Hey, my name is Joshua. I’m Looking to start or join a band in the Dublin area. I have most equipment needed. I'd be looking to form or join a band for gigging. I would like to do originals but I don't mind doing some covers.

    I play guitar mostly but I can play bass as well. I have said in the past that I play drums but I think it would be more accurate to say I like to play drums. I'm 19 (for another month) and currently working 9-5 so I would have to maneuver practice times around that for the moment. 

    My taste in music is pretty eclectic but I'm definitely based in rock. Some of my favorite bands and artists are: Primus, The Beatles, The Kinks, Electric Wizard, Pantera, Madness, Metallica, Spacehog, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Blue Oyster Cult, Green Day, Alice in chains, Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, The Who, The Jam, Tom Petty, Megadeath, The Specials, Tally Hall, XTC, Cake, System Of A Down, Blur, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, My Chemical Romance, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, The Dead Pirates, The Melvins, Goldfinger, White Stripes/Jack white, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Reel Big Fish, Helmet, Red Fang, Silverchair and many more (I would need a book to write them all down).

    I like metal but it probably would not be my first choice of genres to cover or write music in. I'm big into Psychedelic rock and classic rock but I got into music through 90’s grunge and alt rock. I don’t have lots of experience with being in a band, I've done a few battle of the bands when I was in school and I have played on stage with groups in Thailand but nothing formal.
