I called the revenue last week with the same question, mine was brought over on a ferry in 2020, it went into storage then and only came out for it's first NI mot a few months ago.
They said I'm fine with the ferry ticket that's all I need. Explained the whole situation to them.
So 1 of the above or a NI V5 pre January 2021.
