Traveling abroad after oath taking

Hi, I just had my oath taking ceremony to become a naturalised Irish Citizen. However, I still have not received my certificate of naturalisation and I need to travel abroad in 5 days. I emailed irish citizenship service but their reply was not helpful.

Does anyone know if I can still travel abroad while waiting for my certificate of naturalisation? The problem is I don't have my GNIB card now since I gave it at the oath taking ceremony. I still have my old passport (from another country) but I don't know if I can still use it since I already did my oath taking to become an Irish Citizen.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

You can have duel citizenship in Ireland, so your old passport will be fine provided it is still in date.

Yep it is still in date, can I use my old passport to travel then? Because i thought my old passport will be invalid once I do oath taking

It does depend a bit on what nationality your old passport is and where you are travelling to, but as far as Ireland is concerned its ok.

Did you have to renounce your other nationality to become an Irish citizen? If you didn't just use that passport.
