    No, it’s only about 500 or 600 metres from the end of the beach where the road starts to go uphill.
    I see there’s a new upland path from Bray Head that seems to go off in the direction of Greystones, or else veers off towards Kilruddery cottages.
    is it still possible to walk to greystones on a track, not beside a road, from bray head?

    No, the trail over the top of Bray Head comes back down onto the road at Windgates then you're directed along the road as far as Ennis Lane on the Greystones side.
