Has anyone here ever used the bag drop machines in T2? Do you have to join the other check in queues to just drop in a bag. I am flying to Berlin with Aer Lingus ( T2) next Saturday. Flight is at 6.40 am and have checked in online already. Am wondering will I really save time also buying fast track option at security? Coming from Galway so trying to work out what bus to get.

Really wish there were flights to Berlin from Shannon/ Knock!!!

You tag the bag at the machine and then put it onto the baggage belt at check-in desks. There are staff there to help if you have any difficulty. It should only take a few minutes altogether.

It is much quicker as long as your baggage is the right size, weight etc

Don't know about the security fasttrack.

The bag tag is very fast, there are loads of machines, don’t just go to the first one see if there are people at it.

The security will take 15-20 minutes at that time. You’ll be fine and don’t need the fast track.

Make sure your bus is scheduled to arrive at least 2 hours before your flight.
