Car upgrade Suggestion

Hi All

I'm looking for advice on an upgrade.

I'm open on the budget but between 25-30K ideally.

I'm upgrading from an 08 and I will want to have a car that is still worth a good bit in 5/6 years.

I was hoping for a 191 and above.

Id prefer low mileage, ideally less than 50K KM

I was also thinking of an SUV. (ideally a 1.5/1.6 petrol) but again open to suggestions if diesel should be considered.

This will be the main family car. will be used to carry the kids stuff, buggies/golf clubs so boot space is important.

Average daily distance would be 30-50km however my parents are 2 hours away and will visit at least twice a month.

We also go away on trips / hikes and it will be used also for those too

From searching on done deal iv shortlisted the Qashqui, Peugeot 3008, Seat Ateca, Kia sportage or Hyundai Tusan.

I find budget wise most prices are upwards on the budget, especially with executive / leather trimmings

Outside of the above id like something that's reliable, comfortable to drive with plenty of onboard tech.

Any thoughts on the above? should I consider anything else

Take a look at the Kia Stonic, 1 litre hybrid, brand new for around 26k. Had a loan of one for a few weeks and I was impressed with it (Also had a loan of a VW T-Roc and a Skoda Kamiq and the Kia was by far my favorite).

Skoda Kodiak, plenty of room for the kids and all they're gear, has android auto/apple car play, you'll struggle to get one with only 50k on it, you'd get a 2018/19 maybe within budget but might have to go back a year or two if your looking for things like dsg/leather/panoramic sunroof etc.

XC60 would be another nice car and a little smaller than the Kodiak, very safe, you didn't say what age the kids are but if they're still in seats some of the Volvos have 2 inbuilt boosters so you can ditch the child seats.

That should do 40km on battery, 45 mpg after that, your daily driving should be covered for cheap, 2 hours I presume 200 km, it should do it for 10 liters of petrol, if you charge (4 hours 3 pin plug) at the destination it would be 7.5 liters. that one should have a warranty and it is possible to extend it with BMW.

Another option would be the Mitsubishi outlander, its a little heavier on petrol and electricity, 40 mpg, I had the smaller battery version, pre-2018, and got 30 -40 km with it, my next car is the 225xe, I should have it in 2 months or so.

Thanks I was drawn to the ceed as I was looking at the i40's ... have seen a few cheaper options too
