H138 modem from Eir with VirginMedia mobile broadband sim issues

    Hiya,

    has anyone tried VirginMedia mobile broadband yet? They use Three network.

    I have Huawei 138 5g modem left after I cancelled contract with Eir. Tried to put just newly arrived SIM card from VirginMedia but modem won’t connect to the network. I am not quite sure what to do. VirginMedia doesn’t provide modem neither support for them(for now). What’s interesting is the SIM card works in my iPhone. I just had to install configuration profile. Funnily enough they still use UPC name in their connection servers settings.

    i tried to reset modem and still no luck. I wonder if this modem is locked or somehow incompatible with VirginMedia(three) network.?

    Did you try the VM apn with the Huawei?
