Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Everyone.

I'm looking to buy a used car and just ran a car check and the only strange thing was the above result. Should I be concerned about the 34 months?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Would it be arrears?

The 1st owner never bother taxing it so you have to wonder what else they didn't bother doing, but it's been 4 years so any missed maintenance issues should have already happened. As with all 2nd hand cars you need to get a mechanic to check it over pre purchase so once they say it looks OK someone not paying tax wouldn't be an issue.

@Heighway61 Motor tax arrears are cleared when the car is sold.

The owner was probably just exempt from paying tax. Regardless its a non issue imo

Full tax history so no problem, sometimes a garage will give 6 months tax on a car, then the owner might have been exempt of just didn't pay but it's taxed now so that's all that matters really.
