Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I had a problem with no petrol getting to cylinder. I opened the carburettor and blew everything out and it working now. I've a few questions.

The black screw in the centre of first picture seems to be for idle adjustment, but what is the plastic part beneath it? Edit. Not beneath it but to the right (the image got rotated)

In the second photo, is this the part that would most likely have been blocked?

What does the spring loaded slotted "screw" do?

Top pic - crosshead is idle speed adjustment, upper & lower left black plastic bits are choke & throttle flap linkages. Slot head screw is mixture adjustment. Don't move it if it seems ok.

Brass piece looks like an emulsion tube with main jet integrated. If the bowl was full of petrol when you took if off it probably was the issue.

If it was empty slide the chrome pin out of the white plastic float. Needle valve attached was blocked.

    Bowl was full.

    Thanks for explaining.

The plastic piece that I was asking about is the piece that's touching the cross head.

Had to zoom the pic to see it :)

It prob only blanking a port underneath where it was cross drilled. Unlikely there's a jet in it. Slow running jet is inside the frost plug next to the mixture screw. If you had to go in there, carbs on Amazon are cheaper than repair kits.
