Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Battery on the Saab decided to give up on Easter weekend after... 16 years.

Just can't count on anything these days.

    I feel your pain.

The battery on my bike started to lose it's charge after standing idle for a couple of weeks. First time it gave me any issues at all after 14 years in the bike.

They just don't make 'em like they used to.

    Bosch!

Boosted it three times last week with a Noco Boost.

Finally had to accept that it had reached the end of its life.

    16 years and 85,500 km.

Being a bank holiday though, the only option I had was Halfords.

Got a Yuasa for €135. 5 year warranty.

Top tip: if buying a battery from Halfords, get them to test it in front of you. Because if you have any reason to return it (such as wrong type, poles on wrong side etc) the first thing they will do is test it and if it's even slightly below voltage they will refuse or try to.

That's from past experience last year.

The Noco GB40 (1000A) bought for €125 from Micks is worth its weight in gold.

Just noticed that it's down to the same price now. Well worth it.
