    Any suggestions lads can't lower gate anymore

    A H shaped plate, on its side extension piece. Top and bottom curved to shape. Bolts in top holes, coach screws into stake.

    Read that initially as GOAT hanger, brain in overload!

    Yeah, bolt a strong length of bar or box up the back of the strainer and extend a top hanger out from it.

    Stronger job would be to core the holes through the strainer to bolt the bar to, rather than just bolting into it.

    Make sure the bar length below the top of the strainer is at least equal to the length above the strainer.
