    15ft street gate , going to put boards on and choice is straight tops 6ft boards and leave a gap between each or no gap and go with shiplap boards, at 15ft long I wonder if wind could be an issue here,

    Wind will be an issue especially if it's facing southwest to northwest so the more spaces you have the better. I'm assuming this is for a domestic entrance and if so why 15ft wide?

    Yes dosmetic entrance and 15ft wide, shiplap looks better thou
