For anyone based in the West or who fancies a trip, The Curlieu Wheelers are running our Annual Lough Key Classic Sportive in Boyle, Co Roscommon on Sunday 14th May.

Last year, the Lough Key Classic was voted Cycling Connacht's Leisure Event of The Year for 2022. It's well-run, well-marshalled and there's lots of good food and refreshments for participants.

There are two scenic routes of 70km and 120km with an optional King of The Mountains challenge at the end. The two routes feature some nice climbing but nothing too intimidating unless you fancy the KOM at the finish.

Registration takes place at the Abbey College, Boyle, Eircode - F52 HK46 with starts at 9.00 for the 120k and 9.30 for the 70k.

We'd love to see some riders in Boards jerseys.

Online entries are open here -

The Entry Fee is €25 and we will also accept walk-in entries on the day.

    Thanks!

Did it last year. Very enjoyable and was a great day weather wise. Have to say the food in Boyle at half way and at the end was best grub on any sportive in 2022.

Did king of mountains at the end and instantly regretted it! Met a poor woman half up who couldn't pedal any more but didn't realize it was optional...
