Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Track rod ends dust cover nct fail

    Hi all,

    just checking with this fail is it just the rubber cover that needs replacing or the whole track rod end?

    I’m driving a Honda Freed 08 Japanese import and I’m worried I might have to get parts ordered in. Thanks!

    You can replace the dust cover by itself, but a whole new trackrod will only cost around €25 or so, so might as well just replace the whole thing

    Yes, because if the cover has been missing for any length of time, you can be sure that all the grease in the cup is well dried out, and has already started to wear. Replacing the cover is fine, if its caught at the split stage and plenty of grease still visible in the joint.
