    Got a good deal from FBD. 10% off for online + 10% off for doing car and house.

    Car.Comp for 70 Yr old with 2 year ncb €390. House, value 175 000, 50,000 contents €290.

    I'd be curious to know in which part of the country you figure you can demolish a burnt-out house, level the site and build a new house for 175K?

    You say the house 'value' is 175K but it's the rebuild cost that needs covering, not the sale value.

    Maybe undervalued the rebuild a bit but shouldn't be much more.I just bought it for 155,000.I am in Donegal.
