    Hey

Drove my car saturday, about a mile from my house I heard a faint knocking and like a snapping noise, I pulled into a car park and noticed my oil light on, checked the car and the oil was coming out underneath. My car is still under warranty, McGowan Motors won't collect it so I've breakdown assistance and they are bringing it local now shortly as McGowan won't look at it until 16th of June!!!

Husband said it looks like big end bearings, as there's a hole and oil leaking, apart from a few small fuse issues I've never had an issue with it, how would this happen without warning, its serviced here locally and always ran well etc

Will this be covered under the warranty

Sounds like an unusual fault. Do you have a service history? Mileage?

Was the oil light a red lamp or an Amber lamp? Flashing or staying on?

Big end bearings wouldn't make a hole, the pistons that they hold onto the crankshaft do though.

Very unusual for a 2018 unless it was heavily neglected
