Disney plus / Sky Q apps on Eir FTTH

Hi, I did look for an eir specific problem thread but could not find.

all else is working fine with Eir except for disney plus really. I get near 500mbbps on laptops and phones..

I WFH most of the time and it seems great.

however disney plus streaming fails several times a day on the sky q box.

Could try disney on laptop I guess to confirm that the issue seems isolated to the sky q box itself.

I tried with an extender device to give ethernet to the sky box but this didnt seem to help. Hence why I'm still wondering if its Eir.

anyone had this issue?

Have you tried it streaming over wifi on your phone? Sky boxes are temperamental if you want to use ethernet you need to factory reset the box and set it up again with ethernet.

Ethernet is switchable relatively easily. yeah will try streaming from other devices and try narrow this down.
