Replacement for Triax ST HD 237

My parents have had this particular model of set top box for around 15 years and it gave up the ghost last night. No output to the TV, lights on the box are flickering and it doesnt respond to the on-box buttons or the remote.

I've been searching around for the same model to no avail so I'm assuming it's obsolete which is a shame as their both quite technopohobic and were familiar with the layout of the interface of this particular box and don't want to have to learn their way around a new model.

What would be the best current resonably proceed set top box out there to replace it. They only want the the basic Irish and UK channels and a couple of others such as Quest and Challenge etc.

The Amiko mini combo is very popular with nice interface . Amiko 3 is latest model, try to get one pre programmed if you decide to go for it.

What's the differnece between the mini combo 3 and the mini combo extra? I only ask because I can walk into Harvey Norman and pick up the Extra model today but nowehere seems stock the combo 3in a brick and mortar shop near me in Galway

Suggest that the 'extra' model is discontinued - and replaced by the Mini Combo 3

The combo 3 is the newer model and has a slightly better picture in my humble opinion and which some customers have also mentioned . The older amio mini is perfectly fine though.
