Hi, I have reviewed the various support sites and before I call apple has anyone encountered the over heating issue and resolved it. Turned of background refresh and not using while charging - battery health good etc. thank

While it might be a ball ache to do, have you restored the phone and set it up new without the back up? That will give a good indicator if it’s a HW issue.
