Wi-Fi keeps disappearing on Windows 10

Hi, the whole WiFi function on my Windows 10 laptop has disappeared and it's disconnected from the Internet. By restarting the computer I can sometimes get it back for a few minutes, but then it disappears again.

When I click on the WiFi icon at the bottom right of the screen which is supposed to bring up a list of available networks, all that comes up is the flight mode button. The page with the on/off switch and all the other functions for the Wi-Fi has disappeared too.

On some Wi-Fi networks my Wi-Fi seems to work OK but on others it disappears immediately.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions on how to fix this.
