Parts for 2007 Honda Stream

Hello,

My 2007 Honda Stream failed the NCT. It's a Japanese import. Apparently, I need to replace the rear shock absorbers. I have searched online and been in touch with suppliers in Ireland, the UK and Japan, but have been unable to locate new parts- the mechanic is reluctant to install second hand parts (he believes it will fail again). It's getting to the point where I think I will have to get rid of the car, which would be a shame because it's been dependable and low-maintenance up until now.

Does anyone know of any other options I might have. For what it's worth, these are the parts I'm looking for:

Have you tried motor factors as i got Rear brake shoes and cylinders for a 1989 chariot.

Yes, I tried motor factors. However, the mechanic says he doesn't want to install second hand parts in this case, so I'm looking for new parts

Autocare are a local motor factors doing new parts and all they need is your reg , some motor factors do other makes and can source them as i would keep on checking .

Not all factors get parts from same place and source from different companies.

Motor factors don’t sell used parts.

I found both parts on Ebay within a few seconds. I’d be fairly amazed if your local motor factors can’t source them for you. I’ve never had an issue getting parts for Jap imports. Only problem is they can be expensive sometimes.

If you can’t find new parts then buy used parts and find a new mechanic

341298 KYB should do you. Available in most factors.

Im fairly sure that shock will do RN1,RN3 and RN7 - first 3 characters of the vin.

With the Jap import Hondas ignore the part numbers - theyre Jap market only and dont usually match european parts.

Im fairly confident that the KYB one above should do it.

A decent factors will take them back.
