2017 1.5 Diesel Power / Acceleration Loss - Error Code P1453

    Over the weekend it appears the car has gone into limp mode. When I read the error codes I get the following:

    P1453 - Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Control Function

    Spoke to local independent and he said drop it in and he'll have a look. He is talking about removing the DPF or replacing (expernisve job!)

    Looking on line it appears the that differential pressure sensor hose splitting is also a common issue that would cause these symptons. Is this worth asking the mechanic to look at?
