I bought the ID.3 Tour model for that kind of commute - which I ended up never doing ha!

anyway it would be a great option for you. The early ones are very well spec’d and you’d get one for 35 k now.

id consider that or a model 3. Nothing else.

Ah come on, that's unfair, they're not trying to sell anything, just laying out the reality. You can have a pain free EV experience if you avoid the crappy infrastructure and buy the right car which is perfectly doable i.e. don't get a Leaf. E.g. I've a 280km round-trip commute plus occasional site visits twice a week and I've never used the public network once. About 85% of my driving is motorway at 120kph. I only charge at home and have done 23k since 12th January. I'd sell the car in the morning if I had to hang around charging. I've no patience at all.

You won't get a Model 3 RWD for that price now, the grant drops €1500 next month so the price will be €41,832, still not bad mind...

If I was serious, I’d place a fully refundable €250 deposit on one now. There’s a good chance there will be stock available on the last boat due this week from cancellations or double orders etc

If it doesn’t work out, take your deposit back.

If you want an RWD 3 and are not picky on color you'll definitely have one from the inventory at end of june.

Is the model 3 not 50k folks ? I might be wrong but I don't think it is available at those prices quoted in the previous posts .

That's the on the road price 40332 for the Model 3

Long range is just under 50k

Not sure of the exact route for the op but I'd probably look at the LR if it was touch and go on the range. Longer warranty too on the LR 192000 vs 160000 on the RWD
