Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jones, Gravenberch, Thiago. I’m not saying they are better but when you then don’t have them on your bench it weakens you. Undoubtedly. Saying otherwise is foolish. And Robertson clearly not 100% or else he’d starting. So, injuries have decimated that back line.

Pep should double his total wins at Anfield Today.

Looking forward to a good competitive game hopefully.

Think City could go crazy here. That's not a slight on Liverpool, they'll do similar to Utd next week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Early confidence from City.

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

City will use this game to lay down thier marker for the title run in. They will blow Liverpool away today, beat Arsenal in 2 weeks and then we will have 2 months of Sky try to ham up suspense for the title run in....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Wonderful play from Bradley, just nobody in there at the end of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭Garzorico

Liverpool to win this all day long. It’s written in the stars baby. No chance of City getting anything from the game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭Garzorico

City all over the place defensively. Can’t get the ball off Liverpool now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,881 ✭✭✭✭klose

Gotta do better there Nunez holding that run

Liverpool really coming into this now, tails up and City look fragile at the back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Stones with the goal at the near post from a corner, soft.

    City lead 0-1.

Simple goal from a training ground routine obviously. Liverpool defence asleep too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 981 ✭✭✭earthwormjack

That's awful defending on that corner. MacAllister weak as piss on Ake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,976 ✭✭✭doc_17

    Good set piece routine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Liverpool have to score next for sure. If City do then its all over.

City the kings of those type of fouls.

    Deserved yellow for Rodri.

    HT 0-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,976 ✭✭✭doc_17

Dave Jones on Sky “Jamie, do Liverpool need one of these to go in”……well Dave, I’d say they do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,881 ✭✭✭✭klose

Penalty Liverpool, suicide stuff at the back for City.

Edersons 5th booking of the season, can’t imagine many keepers have more then that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 981 ✭✭✭earthwormjack

Ederson, that was absolutely horrific. Absolutely clattered him😂

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭Garzorico

Peno ‘Pool. They’ll go onto win it now. Fine margins n all that.

City are rubbish at the back. No chance they are winning the league.

Ederson saw Ramsdales mistake last night and thought, how can I top that? 😂

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭Garzorico

    City falling apart now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭Xander10

Mac allister was an absolute bargain. Now don't lose it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,103 ✭✭✭joeguevara

Whoever wins this match is up for grabs. But the atmosphere in the ground is second to none.

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

Diaz, not going to get much better chances. The touch has to be better!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,225 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

    How's he missed that jeepers

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭Garzorico

How is this not 3-1 yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭Xander10

Some ball by Salah. Diaz 😔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,109 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

How many chances does Diaz need?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,508 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

    Some ball from Salah...

Funny feeling Ortega is going to be sent off

3 big chances for Diaz , how hasn’t he scored

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,742 ✭✭✭Dr. Bre

    Diaz missing great chances

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

Diaz could have had a hat trick in 5 minutes!

You have to feel City will win this now when they get the momentum back. Liverpool will regret these misses.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,103 ✭✭✭joeguevara

This is like a junior B hurling match defending. Very exciting. Either team can win it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,114 ✭✭✭El Gato De Negocios

LFC will be kicking themselves if they don't get a winner, by far the better team this half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,153 ✭✭✭DellyBelly

Absolutely...Diaz appallingly bad in front of goal. May be the difference between 3 and 1 point

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,114 ✭✭✭El Gato De Negocios

    Pathetic dive from salah.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,109 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

I'm assuming that all the Liverpool fans will be calling for a yellow for Salah here?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

No yellow for a blatant dive from Salah??

Great respect by the two managers. Fair result.

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

Thats a blatant penalty on McCallister, you have to laugh 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,153 ✭✭✭DellyBelly

They need to come down on diving....Arsenal last night and now Salah...its a blight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,589 ✭✭✭Jinglejangle69

And every player from all the teams who do it.

    Jota two weeks ago.

    Bruno every week.

    Kane for years.

Doku was one lucky lucky boy there....what was he thinking in the first place?

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,685 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

City getting a woefully wrong var decision their way in a potentially title deciding game. That's happened a few too many times now.

If var had done it's job properly, city wouldn't have at least one of their league titles, maybe 2 ( failing to red card haaland last year v palace)

That was a great game to watch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,560 ✭✭✭✭CSF

It’s unfortunately consistent with VAR refereeing across the board. You have to do a lot more than that to get a VAR overturn these days unfortunately. Unless you’re a milimetre offside.

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

That Doku tackle was outrageous, like it should have been at least a yellow card, let alone just a penalty 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,089 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

If that wasn't in the 98th minute in a potential title deciding match, it gets given as a penalty. Or if it happens anywhere else on the pitch, it's a foul.

Pep's pre match comments about the referee have made the impact he wanted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,117 ✭✭✭jacool

I love the way people here get a strop over Salah, but are silent when the McAllister incident happens.

You are either seeing the whole game, or you are biased beyond belief!

City could have won it with Doku near the end but will be far happier with that result.

They were on the ropes for the last 20 minutes more or less. Arsenal probably delighted.

New odds after that game: 6/5 Man City, 9/4 Liverpool, 5/2 Arsenal and 400/1 Tottenham.
