In 2019 the prize money for the union of the rugby world cup was £325,000 for the winning union.

Edit to add: its worth noting that many sponsorship deals have a clause xxx extra if this achievement is made so there is extra money there but it won't be huge.

Thank you, It’s quite low, lower than I expected. Say in comparison to the women’s World Cup. Qualification gets Ireland 1.24 million sterling, winning gets 3.4 million sterling. I wonder is that in line with tv audience

I don't think Fifa is trying to fund anything other than the Women's World Cup with the womens world cup. World Rugby sees the RWC as its main fund raising activity for "growing the game".

The six nations is owned by the participating unions with the goal of making money.

The RWC is owned by World Rugby with the aim of generating money to develop the game.

Two wildly different goals.

The money for the world cup is quite low compared to the 6 nations. Even a place or two higher in the table worth a lot. It's why Ireland never (and probably will never) mess around when it comes to 6 nations. "Win today, win tomorrow" pretty much the irfu rule. It's why you don't see much experimenting with selection
