We are planning a short break to Limerick with an 8+10yr old.

Is there much to do? Maybe a tour chocolate factory / cheese making etc?

    Any recommendations

I'm well past that stage with my family so not up to date on what's on offer but the International Rugby Experience might be an option worth considering

    King Johns castle.

They're also an escape room just down from it. (not sure what ages its appropriate for)

There is a new climbing wall in UL.

Arena 5 in Ballysimon which has bowling & Mini Golf, and Jumplanes (trampolines)

Funworld on the Ennis road also has arcade games and bowling.

A free petting zoo at the back of the Radisson Hotel on the Ennis road.

Just over county lines there is Bunratty castle and a decent food court called Jillie & Joes (Pizzas, chips, ice creams, coffees, pints etc)

There is a huge park apron 25 mins outside the city called Curraghchase - there is also a pet farm close by called Stonehall Pet Farm

Milk Market on a Saturday morning - has something for everyone

The Wickham way on a Saturday is also good - Lots of food options plus there's a guy selling Pokemon cards (if your 8-10 yr old is into that)

Thanks for the excellent information. What's the escape room and what's UL please?

The escape rooms are basically a room that a group get locked into and you must solve puzzles to escape

    UL is University of Limerick
