Not permitted to make contributions to Irish pension while in UK

I am working in the UK, and applied to make Irish contributions to my State pension from this year. I left Ireland in March, however, this has been refused on the basis that I am currently covered by social insurance in another EU member state/country with EU bilateral agreement. However, the UK is no longer a member of the EU, so therefore I was sure I was entitled to contribute to Irish State pension. Am I correct?

Ireland has a separate bilateral treaty with the UK.
