Apps and website that require card details entered manually

I downloaded an app for a cinema chain.

On their website I can allow my iPhone to automatically enter my card details but the app requires me to enter it manually with each booking.

I have seen this happen on other apps and websites too.

Is this my iPhone blocking an app it doesn’t trust or is it just something the app developer didn’t allow the app to do?

They probably don't want to store your credit card details on their database for security reasons.

I probably didn’t explain in the OP.

Don’t know how to phrase it better in the time I have at the moment however those website do have the option to store the card details but that isn’t what I meant.

Anyway I seem to be randomly encountering the problem now so I think this is an issue for tech support.
