Frankly I don’t get all the hype about Denise O’Sullivan, just had a very good chance in front of goal with no pressure on her and balloons it about 3 yards over the the crossbar. As an aside I think Ireland supporters should be restricted to singing ‘fields of athenry’ no more than two times during a game.

Could have been 2-0 if there had been support… good chance

I think if we had 2 up, we could cause Canada a lot of problems. Their defence looks ponderous.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

She's not a "pigeonholed" reporter, she does all sorts, and a lot of general human interest type reporting. There is at least one dedicated sports reporter out there as well (the black haired fella whose name escapes me right now, Paul something).

Jaysus, the state of the weather!!

    That’s some rain

Ireland could/should be 2/3 up at this stage. Hope it does not come back to haunt them. Completely dominating Canada in that first half - in the Irish type weather....

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Canadian player gone down like she was shot in a car crash… blocked a rather tame shot.

Some rain here too. Good to see we are not the only ones having a miserable day. Probably more humid there too do.

Terrible defending at the worst possible time

It's not RTÉ news job to be engaging in promotion quite frankly.

They can't even score their own Goals

  • They need to shrink the size of the goals.

Goalkeepers end up looking like mugs through no fault of their own.

Ironically their goal was deep into injury time. Most of which was added on for their drama queen lying on the deck after been hit on the shoulder/back by one of our tame enough shots in their penalty area.

I presumed she got it in the stomach and was winded but nope, replay showed otherwise

Ireland, by an Irish country mile, the better team so far.

Need to be much more aggressive upfront and up the percentage on target. Can’t sit back here

I don't think humidity would be a problem today with 12 C temperature in Perth.

What is the coldest month in Perth?

February is the hottest month of the year, with an average high of 31.6 °C (88.9 °F), and July is the coldest month of the year, with an average low of 7.9 °C (46.2 °F). 77% of rain in Perth falls between May and September.

    Great stop.

I actually agree...goals should be reduced in size for women...probably the pitch and the time aswell...30 minutes a side is plenty...

Like in tennis...the fairer sex play a max of 3 sets vs 5 for the men.
