Hi all hoping for some advice here. Been offered a council house by letter and have accepted same and sent back my rent assessment forms etc. After doing research I can see that I am over the threshold limit for my family size. This however is changing in October due to no longer being eligible for wfp. I submitted a rent assessment form a few months back so my income should be noted on my file. I'm afraid now that i am over the threshold could they come back and pull the offer once they see thr forms as sent in or would it be the case that they would have checked my income on my file prior to making the offer??

They very likely will pull the offer if you are over the limit now.

But remember that the limit is nett of various things.

It may be worthwhile calling them to discuss

What do you mean a nett of various things?

My main confusion is that while I am over the limit this isn't new information. I have filled out rent assessment forms and submitted them to the council as we were being evicted from our previous home and had to find an alternative home a few months back and had alot of correspondence and issues since then so my file would have had info in relation to my update income.

I presume they would have looked into that before making the offer and not made the offer without checking my means on my file if that makes sense?

I mean what counts is your income after tax, and some other stuff. I don't remember what the other stuff is anymore.

Assume nothing, though. Call them and ask.
