If you are one of these recently "fashionable" "Redneck", "Yahoo", "paddy whackery" bands like "The Tumbling Paddys" or "The Whistling Donkeys", please count me out !! ....This Island is coming down with these bollockses and I'm just not interested in that stuff in any way shape or form....

Travel is not such an issue for me..if I feel that we are a good match up....Hope to hear from you soon....

Where abouts are you from lad. What kinda stuff do you like to play. We do a bit of everything. Usual crowd pleasers with some odd balls thrown in.

That's definitely the right answer dude. Yeah listen we're a cover's band and we play a variety of songs. From a variety of artists but we all have a background in rock and metal. So everything we would do has that kind of edge to it. High energy and good craic. If your local enough it might be worth meeting up for a chat. Most important thing for the three of us is having someone on the same page. Not just musically but personality and work ethic. It can be tough going but we've been doing it for years and first and foremost do it because we love doing it. Meself and Duncan are from blacklion and belcoo

Oh not so bad..I thought you were more Dromahair/ Sligo direction..your not exactly next door to me..but your defo within reasonable practice commute viability...as my Toyota Corrola is fairly fuel efficient....on a pure business / cost benefit analysis basis ..this could on paper work for me...

Am I right to assume that the two of you are a bassist and Drummer ???

I live in Belturbet County Cavan..im actually from Derrylin originally....so technically I am a Northerner living in the South....

Age is not "that" critical an issue for me... but...out of interest;...what age are you guys ???

...as I said before I'm 46..I hope not too old for you ....??

Adrian mc manus is my name. I'm the drummer and Duncan is lead guitarist. Dom the bass player is from Sligo. We'd more than likely rehearse in Glenfarne. We have a studio that we can hire. 25 a month each. But it's ours to come and go as we wish. Meself and Duncan are traveling over and back to Sligo to rehearse. Unfortunately it's the way it is around here.. hard to put a band together so you have to do what you have to do. What part of the world are you from

Ahhhh good stuff your not a million miles away. Ahhh we're all in our 40s. Most of our gigs are this part of the world. But we would be looking for gigs further south.

Sounds good...I'd prefer a 4 piece rather than a 3 piece as your choices are limited with 3 people.....

Sweet are you about during the week. Meself and head the ball might swing over too you one of the evenings

Are any other members of the band able to sing backing vocals if I am the main singer?

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 drummermc

Yeah we all do. Some more than others.. for the most part meself and Duncan. But Dom does aswell

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 drummermc

But agreed. 4 piece is the sweet spot

OK....are you open to doing Country Rock type stuff...as in The Eagles, Flying Burrito Brothers Dire Straits , Lone Justice, etc, etc

  • Registered Users Posts: 230 ✭✭Maguirearch

I am flexible on material ..that is within my vocal abilities...

  • Registered Users Posts: 230 ✭✭Maguirearch

We don't have to do Country Rock stuff of course but I'm just putting that out there...as an option....

Already do take it easy. And we do a version of traveling soldier. We've built up a set over the last year or so that seams to work in most venues and crowds. But our goal is to build up a bank of about 100 songs to allow us to play to absolutely anyone. But of course songs have to suit everyone.. and we have vetoe you can use if you absolutely fuckin hate a tune. We'll try anything but if it doesn't work live it won't be kept in the setlist. But could be brought out at the right time. We don't scrap anything we do.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 drummermc

If it's gonna work with you we'd need to get you up to speed with our current set. And then take it from there regards new tunes. But yeah we're open to anything as long as it'll work
