Boks steadied the ship very well but they had a lot of possession in the last 15 minutes and didn't do a lot with it.

First 20 mins of that game was brilliant from the kiwis. Will Jordan and Shannon Frizell ruled the roost. Boks had no answer to them. second 20 mins the boks bashed their way back in. Faf playing some great rugby.

I was actually typing this after 15 mins but didn’t post it because I thought I’d make a fool of myself, but I thought NZ came out of the blocks so quick that if SA just stay in it NZ will be gassed and on the back foot by the end. I’m not saying the boks will win, but NZ are huffing and puffing now

Cracking try...anyone else think the bok passes in the lead up are very borderline for forward passes or is the camera perspective? I keep jumping out of the couch shouting forward pass for both teams...

If not its almost right on the edge a scary amount of time....

SA players who are tackling are being allowed to try to jackal straight away. The breakdown has become very messy.

NZ did what I expect we'll do against SA at the WC, keep the ball in play to take away the lineout/maul, kick contestables and put SA under ferocious pressure on the ball.

Take away their maul and don't give them a chance to build up momentum when carrying and SA are not a particularly creative side - a well structured and disciplined defence should be able for them.

Boks couldnt get a handle on the kicking game which among other things cost them.

This Nz performance has come a long way since the irish tour games.

A few players really stood out for the NZ today, but tbh SA hardly imposed themselves on NZ outside 25 mins in the second half. For a side that prides itself on physicality SA were way off the pace. They let NZ play way too much, Ireland wont be doing that if they meet.

They need to back Libbok I think. Willemse didn't want any outhalf duties today, and Le Roux had to cover for him stepping in at first phase instead of receiving the ball at second or third receiver in space the way he works best.

Williamse was a wasted jersey today.

Le roux was the main playmaker at 10, kolbe, faf and libbock were off the tee, faf and Leroux were getting the hand on dead ball.

Williamse may as well had not been on the pitch. He spent so much time on the wing even the commentators kept mixing him up with mapimpi
