I got suspended from ticketmaster on my laptop and now my phone. I'm out of options too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,471 ✭✭✭Mrs Shuttleworth

It's shifted back there in the last few minutes from Limited to Low Availability

I have to admit I was completely wrong about this last year - I thought there'd be loads of tix flying around this week for this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,941 ✭✭✭flasher0030

Looks like resale is closed on ticketmaster. And toutless down. If anyone has any last minute ticket to sell for tonight, please let me know. I can't think of any other means to get a ticket now. Unless go down to Croke Park later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭ricimaki

Drove up, parked at red cow, went onto gigsberg, bought a ticket for davin stand, received it 15 mins later. More expensive, but so much easier than spending more hours refreshing ticket master and getting no where...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,471 ✭✭✭Mrs Shuttleworth

Why why why is TB showing tickets available then you click on it immediately and it says "Unavailable" and then the same ticket(s) keep displaying as available?? I mean WTAF??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭crl84

Because pages aren't updated every second.
    They're updated every few minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭crl84

Hopefully you get in. Plenty of reports of people buying from gigsberg and getting scammed:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Concerts/comments/uvjvcb/is_gigsberg_a_scam/

Pure luck as to whether the seller is legit or not. Gigsberg don't care once they take a cut.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭ricimaki

I was weary, but having received them in my ticketmaster account, they should be good - will update if they're not! All of the scams seem to be people not receiving anything, or a fake link to them.

I'm not at all happy having to use third party sites, but given my last few days of getting nowhere on ticketmaster, I didn't see another way of getting one.

Just got one on TB Section 333 for €166 inc fees. Not bad. This better be good Chris!!

    Later!!

Is Early Entry guaranteed to be Pitch A or B ?

Buddy has them for Monday but says it doesnt say on the ticket, its surely Pitch A or B though ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31 DazC98

@Mrs Shuttleworth great to hear someone got some through ticketmaster! Just as two of us are desperately trying, how did you manage to get it? Through your phone, on the app, on a laptop? Thanks!!

Just got 2 on the app, €86 each. Up in the gods but f-ck it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 115 ✭✭TheIrishPC

It gives access to your choice. You get a specific wristband which lets you choose pitch a, b, or c

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 360 ✭✭giseva

Early entry is a bit of a joke for the price, I had it yesterday and all it meant was we got to stand in a pissy tunnel for about 40 minutes.

The A, B thing had me concerned but once you're escorted to the pitch you can choose where you want to stand, perks of the wristband. This does not prevent those without the early entry wristbands from making their way up to the stage etc.

Abroad, the security only allowed early entry wristband holders in certain sections and were constantly ejecting people for crowd control. Unfortunately Croker is a free for all. Happy to have gone but paying high prices just to be trampled on by some cu#nts that paid a fraction doesn't seem too fair at all.

And while I'm at it and just to get it off my chest, a couple, I won't state their nationality, chose to attend a concert right up the front in close proximity to a packed crowd, without a bit of deodorant between them.

Dozens of us looking at each other in disbelief throughout the concert. Never have I ever experienced anything like it. Eye watering. How people can be unaware they stink to high heaven, or worse, choose to do so is beyond me. Coldplay were class as always.

The local security did not seem to know what the fu#k was going on. Early entry wristband holders are entitled to collect a gift, and are instructed to do so via the same route they came in, the yellow route.

Everyone with a high vis just wanted to clear the place and large groups had formed trying to make their way back out the same route, at times being prevented and directed toward exits towards the opposite end of the stadium.

Hundreds would've lost out on the gift bag as once you're out, you're out. It's not a life changing gift but the tickets are expensive enough so it's nice to get. So tell your buddy not to take any shite from the many "robo cops" in the place and make sure they leave via Davin.

Not sure if it's A or B, but the standing section on the right side of the stage as you face it looks much busier from my view from the Davin. Even the C standing area is much busier on the right side.

Why would their nationality matter? Plenty of smelly Irish people where I was. It was a warm evening.

Was thinking the same thing, delighted your nostrils got assaulted

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 255 ✭✭Iamhere

Not really sure what the difference between B & C is besides the entry point

A pitch standing came up on TM a few mins ago but i just missed it. Its now having me join a waiting room, i assume this is some confusion with the Oasis Presale. not looking good at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,227 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

It has been explained. They had to shut up shop yesterday because there was so much scamming going on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,941 ✭✭✭flasher0030

Something funny going on on Ticketmaster alright. I'm 734 in a queue for tickets. And it's not really moving. Gig would be over by the time my comes. 😀

I'll stick with it and see where it leads to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 988 ✭✭✭Qprmeath

Any idea why we as a nation sing “Ole,Ole” at gigs?

At it again last night, makes me cringe every time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38 Kissy_Lips

I'm going to guess we heard the Mexicans do it in 84 world cup

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 924 ✭✭✭lambayire

    86 but who's counting.

Bizarrely, the crowd didn't sing it during Infinity, which was the perfect spot for an Olé, olé

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,060 ✭✭✭Zardoz

They released alot of tickets around 5-6, odd they way they held them back so late, alot were in the Davin stand.

How did Bricknasty go down so far? Wouldn't be bothered with Coldplay but great to see an Irish act with genuine talent and originality picked as support.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73 ✭✭Westport Covies

I've been refreshing the page so much that they suspended my account. Hope it clears up before oasis in the morning

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,060 ✭✭✭Zardoz

I think the page for tonight is broken.

    Boards users overloaded it lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,148 ✭✭✭orchidsrpretty

I am just about to sell back a seated upper stand ticket for Sunday night in ticketmaster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭raclle

I'm going Sunday but I'll be watching the match first. Plenty of time if you've no interest seeing the supporting acts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 360 ✭✭giseva

I see my comment has been deleted in addition to a warning message.

Finger pointing when I wrote that I'd not state the nationality of the stinky culprits, but in the same post you claim there were plenty of smelly Irish at the concert. Hilarious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 360 ✭✭giseva

That's called Schadenfreude pal, and I believe it's treatable. Hope this helps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭Titanium11

One ticket just became available on ticketmaster there right now for Sunday night's concert. But the ticket is 470 euro! It's too expensive for me!

I thought tickets would be around 100 -200 on ticketmaster

It's still there now if anyone wants it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭Titanium11

How are ticketmaster charging 470 euro for one ticket. Its just a normal ticket. Not vip

Cause they can, most Oasis tickets close to €200 but they will sell anyway.

A few more photos from last night

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭Titanium11

But I thought you had to sell at face value on ticketmaster?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭Titanium11

Ticketmaster is extremely slow and the technology on it is extremely bad.

Tickets on there show as available. Then when you click into the ticket, it shows as unavailable.

I went back to look at the same ticket. It has been showing as available for the last hour. But it's not available.

How could they not have refreshed the website in one hour, to show that this ticket has actually been bought and is not available. It still shows as available

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭Titanium11

I think I've decided I would rather not see coldplay then spend another two days of my life fighting with the ticketmaster site.

After many many hours of trying, One time it let me get through to the payment details for a ticket. This was the only time I got that far.

I put in my payment details and it then said "oops! Page not found.

I think I've decided not to try to see coldplay anymore as I can't bear messing around with the badly designed ticketmaster site anymore

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,148 ✭✭✭orchidsrpretty

I just sold my ticket and I was only able to list it for the exact price I paid.

Dynamic pricing. Fortunes for average seats when there’s enough demand. Ticketmaster will claim they’re only doing what airlines hotels etc do when there is high demand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭Titanium11

Chris martin was apparently chatting to loads of people in dun laoghaire.

I should have gone to dun laoghaire for the day. Would have been cheaper!
