Hi all

Getting a notification on my Samsung A10

" Can't write to SD card

Your SD card isn't working correctly and has been set to read only to prevent data loss. Backing up the data on your SD card is recommended".

The SD card has 7.77 GB out of 29.71GB used up.

Anyone any ideas for a fix?

Can you try the card in another device? Lots of laptops have SD card slots that could read it.

Can you see the SD card listed on your phone and was it setup on the phone , i had issues on mine and found a YouTube video of how to add it so phone now sees it.

This is the usual failure mode for SD cards gone bad - they go into read-only mode (if you're lucky).

Thanks, I tried moving an app from internal storage to the SD card and it moved it no problem. Is this a good sign?

Time to get a new SD card and copy your data over.

64GB micro sd cards are €14 or less on Amazon.

Got new SD card today, copied and pasted all info from old card to new card with laptop & card reader. Problem solved. 🤞
