Argentina, if they can manage to pass the ball a few times without knocking on, are well capable of running in a tries against this English team, but their execution and discipline is shocking.

Especially since Steven Ferris had literally just explained what he should have done to avoid contact.

    Some man Dan Cole!

    Eh, that was well forward.

Will give Jacqui the benefit of the doubt, like Bill O'Herlihy she was just posing a silly question so it could be explained for the benefit of the ordinary punter at home 😜

Think Fiji are gonna be the one to watch.. not impressed with anyone this side of the draw so far. See how they go tomorrow against Wales, if they put a decent number on them.

Argentina haven't managed a score against 14 men for more than half the game. They've no attack.

    Two poor teams.

    3 score game probably now.

Argentina are making England look like we’ll organised team.

Argentina completely playing into England's hands here.

In many ways this is a classic English world cup performance we've seen many times. Dealing with the opposition defensively and knocking over 3 pointers.

Usually it's in the knock outs.

This game has all the signs of an England redemption ark. Pure scutter this year so far but game turns for them on a red & they are bossing it.

Shambles from Argentina in every aspect of the game

Argentina now have to complete the biggest comeback in RWC history to win this one!

It's absolutely infuriating that the semi finals will contain 2 teams from this side of the draw

    Argentina have been shockingly bad.

This will do a lot for England. Wouldn't totally write them off. Wouldn't say they'll win it but could take a big name down.

England are like Germany (old Germany anyway) in tournament football. Mediocre sides who keep going deep in World Cups. I don't think they'll win it, but they might make the final.

Giving away free kicks now for time wasting? This is the worst Argentina performance I've seen in a long time.

They've lost their only decent 10 which is a massive blow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

That was an English knock on in the line-out.

Nothing going the way of the argies.

This is by far the worst I’ve seen Argentina play in years. Fair play to England though for grinding this one out if they do, and hard to see them lose from here tbh.

awful and embarrassing from argentina against 14 men

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,032 ✭✭✭FrankGrimes

Body language from Argentina is really poor, heads not in this at all at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 464 ✭✭Iamabeliever

Argentine player is fully upright? It's a dynamic motion of him coming down from a jump. That is a clear point for England to emphasise going into the discipline hearing.

Nevertheless, curry is not a malicious player and should only get a min ban.

Game over I think. Argentina have absolutely shat the bed. Don't want to hear any more complaints about our performances against 14 England ever again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 548 ✭✭✭MaddChris

Also don't think we should lose sight of the fast that England haven't come within a mile of scoring a try at any point.

Against a team with a bit more discipline and they won't have a clue what to do.

19 min to score 3 tries Argentina.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,028 ✭✭✭blackcard

All the teams from the other half of the draw batter each other and England win the WC

I don’t think England have tried to, they have not had to, so why not just take the points on offer with 14 players?

21-0 to England since they went down to 14 men
